Charles


charles hamelin was born Levis Quebec on april 14 1984. He's short track skater for canada . He been the 2006 olympic in turin where he won the the silver medal with the relay team but in his own event he finish 4. but before the olympic in 2006


Charles made his debut at the world junior championships in 2002, finishing 4th in the 500m and helping the relay team to a silver medal. During the next world junior championships in 2003 Charles had his breakout year finishing second in the 500m, second in the 1500m, 4th in the 1000m, 5th in the super 15000m, and then helping the relay team to a bronze in the 5000m relay. Because of his accomplishments in 2003 Charles finished 4th overall at the world junior championships. Charles Hamelin was seemingly following the footsteps in a long line of accomplished French-Canadian short trackers, men like Marc Gagnon and Eric Bedard.


Career highlight are the following
Silver medallist in the men's 5000m relay at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, Italy...won two silver medals at the 2008 World Championships (500m and 5000m relay)...2009 and 2007 500m World Champion...won eight individual medals during the 2008-09 World Cup season (2 G; 3 S; 3 B)... won nine individual medals during the 2007-08 World Cup season (1 G; 3 S; 5 B.)...set a new world record on January 18, 2009 in Montreal when he skated the 1000m in a time of 1.23,454... . Last weekend in his hometown of quebec Hamelin won two gold medal in the 500 and 1 500.




His brother Francois never been the olympic but there a chance he might. World Championships
